Patch Preview: 0.9.0 - 0.10.0
WHAT'S NEXT
All of the fine tuning
As new features, game functionality and information is added we hit our fair share of rough patches. After taking a look at the some of the core functions of both the Omnislash App and the Omnislash website we've decided to focus on providing as many fixes and quality of life adjustments as possible in our 0.9.0 beta patch before moving forward to big fancy things like stats and features. We'll be updating some messaging, settings controls and doing a bit of nip/tuck on our visual layouts to provide as stable of an experience as possible! Many of these changes will be small, and you may not notice them, but that just means we're doing our jobs correctly!
We are ever vigilant in our cataloging for errors but we miss plenty of things! So please let us know in the Discord so we can add it to our development pipeline!
Gameplay Timeline
One of our goals with the user profile page is to provide quick and useful insights on user play. Not just by providing results and per match stats but by creating an intuitive visual tool that communicates, at a glance, what someone has been playing and how much they've played. We also just want to make something cool looking for profiles. The Gameplay Timeline helps us do that via a visualizer inspired by heatmaps seen in many FPS titles and analysis tools. Consider it a heatmap for how you use your game time. Users will also be able to see each others respective Gameplay Timelines; so if some rando is dissecting your LoL play and you notice that they're a Fortnite 1-trick via his Gameplay Timeline, well, you know everything you need to know about that ;D. The Gameplay Timeline its something that we want to customize to the needs of the users over time. So if you don't like what you see or have any suggestions please let us know in our Discord. This is for you; you have a say.
Expect the Gameplay Timeline to premiere in our upcoming Beta Patch 0.10.0 very soon.
Hearthstone screenshots!
Automatic Screenshots in Hearthstone Standard modes
Some moments just need to be captured. Most of the time, however, we lose ourselves in that very moment and miss our shot. With that in mind, we've been working on a method of automatically capturing the exact moments that you should probably brag about online via a certain convenient and very handsome website (Omnislash. We're talking about Omnislash). Using the Omnislash Turn Tracker for Hearthstone: Standard modes we pinpoint the WHEN of things like massive board swings or huge resource advantages and now we show you the HOW via these automatic screenshots. See a big change in the Turn Tracker graph? Theres going to be a screenshot to show you exactly what happened!
You'll be able to see this feature in our upcoming Beta Patch 0.10.0.
WHAT'S AFTER THAT
Concept design for League of Legends game stats.
Stats
Each game has its own unique statistics that matter to players. Stats that add up over time and let the player see how they play and establish their identity across different games. Things like overall Kills to deaths, win rate and accuracy. I'm a bit of a support player myself and it shows in my K:D ratio (its not great). Depending on the genre there can be a huge number of measurements that players utilize to get an idea of HOW they play. Omnislash's goal is to provide tools that help users reveal their identity as players across multiple games, multiple genres and beyond. Omnislash will be taking the first steps towards that goal by releasing its first set of game stats via a visual dashboard that uses engaging visual design and intuitive information within User Profiles. We'll start small, keep things simple and go from there. We have big plans for per game, per genre and overall stats that we cant wait for you to see but we still need your help. What do you want to see? What information actually matters to you? Hit the discord and let us know.
Very mysterious...
Omniscore
Sometimes winning isn't enough. Sometimes you need to know just how well you played. Well fought defeats can also illustrate skill and prowess despite the outcome. Sometimes skill just needs to be quantified. Thats what the Omniscore does. Win or loss the omniscore is a measurement by which you can gauge the overall skill of your play in any given match. Coming soon the Omniscore will give you a rating for each and every match you play across all Omnislash supported titles. After each matches conclusion the omnibots here at Omnislash will calculate your overall score and attach it to your post match results. How does it work? By what machinations does this numerical label dare gauge ones elite level esports skills? Find out next time on.....Dragonball Z.
